The Senior Process Technician role is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on MOCVD reactors and ancillary support equipment. The qualified individual will be working with a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians. They would be primarily responsible for MOCVD equipment operations, and maintaining and improving tool uptime. The individual will be responsible for assisting the engineering team with troubleshooting and repairing tool issues, hardware modifications, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Daily operation of engineering lab tools. Responsible for tool operation and maintenance.
  • Performs testing and certification of systems and system components to engineering performance specifications
  • Engages process and hardware groups to perform advanced troubleshooting and correct reactor malfunctions
  • Procures spare-parts, consumables, etc. and manages inventory
  • Maintains reactor capability through the timely and correct completion of routine preventative maintenance (PM) work
  • Participates in Failure Analysis and Corrective Action teams for new products
  • Participates in marathon testing at system / sub-system level and analyze field-performance data to ensure built-in product reliability and maintainability

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 4 years of related experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting. Associates degree in electronics, computers, and/or electro/mechanical technology preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Experience with vacuum systems is required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be certified and work while using a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
  • Willing to get certified on the Operation and Maintenance of Gas Cabinets and controllers used with High Purity Gas Cylinders
  • Skilled in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated processing equipment
  • Knowledge of SAP or related enterprise resource planning software preferred
  • Willingness to be certified as a memeber of site Emergency Response Team (ERT)
